Meet Ms. McConnell
Welcome to Camp-Read-a-Lot! I hope the theme this year will excite each of my students to grow as readers and learners.
This is my fourth year teaching second graders. My teaching experience has been varied and interesting. I have taught 5th graders, 3rd graders and 2nd graders. I have also worked as a paraprofessional in 2nd grade. I taught special education for 3 years. Overall, I have worked in Muscogee County for the last 20 years at 6 different elementary schools, each with unique programs and professional growth opportunities.
I received my undergraduate degree from Columbus College in Early Childhood Education.
I enjoy spending time with my 2 grown children. I have other family also living in Columbus, so I enjoy time with them and their families as well. I love seeing new places and reading about the lives of ordinary people who accomplished great things.
I will dedicate myself to the success of each child in my class and will partner with each parent as we work together to have an awesome year in second grade!
