Meet Mrs. Massey
I am thrilled to be teaching second grade again at RRLA. As some of you know I retired a few years ago from RRLA and quickly returned to teach part time at the the very best elementary school in MCSD, RRLA.. Year before last I did not teach and really missed encouraging curiosity, sharing the joy, excitement & mystery of our world, and helping to create life long learning with and for our students. So, I came back again and I'm loving it! Thank you, Mrs. Pendleton for taking me back, again.
I thought you might like to get to know me better so I'm sharing some things all about me. First, I am married to a super guy. We don't have any children, but we have five cats. Their names are Chloe, Lilly, Ernie, Chester, and Bruno. Each one of them have their very own unique personality and we love watching them and having them curl up to sleep in our favorite chairs. Maybe I'll post some photographs later. I love gardening when it isn't too hot. My favorite flower is Zinnia. I like to grow tomatoes, too. When I am not gardening or making lesson plans I'm usually reading. I could not make it through the day if I didn't get a chance to read. Some of my favorite children's authors are Patricia Polacco, Cynthia Rylant and Tomie dePaola. I'll be reading lots of their books in the classroom. My other passion is photography. I am a part time family and child photographer. I love taking and editing photos and hopefully making my clients happy. My favorite vacation place is the beach on the gulf. I adore the white sand and blue-green water. I could sit in a beach chair under an umbrella with a good book all day long!
